Iridium Hand Held

The Ultimate in Dependable Global Mobile Communications!
Keeping People and Organizations Connected, on the Move - Everywhere

People everywhere are moving beyond the reach of traditional networks and expecting their connected experience to travel with them, wherever they go.
Leveraging the world’s furthest reaching network, Iridium and its partners deliver ongoing innovation in global mobile communications, to help make more of the connections that matter — anywhere on the planet and in ways never thought possible.

Iridium Maritime

Iridium system offers true global coverage and competitive airtime rates, making it the obvious choice for anyone sailing the oceans or along foreign coasts.

With its extensive network of cross-linked low-orbiting satellites forming a worldwide coverage grid, Iridium is a reliable satellite network for accessible telecommunications with attractive airtime rates.

MI MSR2 (Fisheries Reporting)

NZ Fisheries Electronic Catch and Position Reporting (Iridium based)

The MI (Marine Instruments) Marine Sat Receiver (MSR-2) is a satellite system for NZ Fisheries Electronic Catch and Position Reporting, with Global coverage. The technology is especially designed for the management of high volume of data and avoid high communication costs when sending/receiving fishing data - making it the most cost effective fully-satellite fisheries reporting tool (lower airtime tarrifs then competitors). The device incorporates spread-spectrum communication technology, making it very difficult to detect by third parties.

PIVOTEL tracertrac (Vessel Tracking)

The RockFLEET and RockSTAR devices provide a GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who want an affordable, satellite-based option to meet the GPR requirements that are being introduced by Fisheries New Zealand.

RockFLEET by Pivotel is a fixed GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who want an affordable installed satellite based solution to meet their GPRS obligations. Once installed and connected to vessel power  RockFLEET will automatically work away from port so you don’t need to remember to turn it on and off or keep batteries charged.
RockFLEET is the recommended GPS tracking solution as it is permanently connected to power, permanently mounted and does not require any ongoing intervention.
RockSTAR by Pivotel is a portable handheld GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who fish without a vessel, or who want to move their GPR solution between vessels quickly and easily. RockSTAR is an affordable satellite based GPR solution which ensures that fishers are able to meet GPR obligations.

Broadband connectivity for all!
Fishing, merchant and leisure vessels of any size can now access satellite voice and data services – flexibly and affordably. Get the latest weather forecast, update charts, check your emails and call home – it’s all possible with Fleet One.

Fleet One is specifically designed to meet the low data usage demands of occasional or seasonal users when they move out of VHF or GSM coverage areas.

The SAILOR® Fleet One terminal is the ideal terminal to keep small and mid-size leisure and fishing boat users connected all the time through reliable voice communications, text and internet connectivity at sea.
With its compact, lightweight antenna and simple installation, SAILOR® Fleet One is a low-cost entry point to the world of maritime satcoms.

Fastest, Most Flexible Communications Solutions

Your fleet deserves a SATCOM solution created with the same focus on quality and success that you bring to your business. That’s why our award-winning TracPhone® VSAT systems offer the rugged construction needed for commercial maritime vessels. These next-generation designs provide the fastest connections, fully integrated belowdecks equipment, support for IoT applications, and built-in, secure network and data management.

INMARSAT FleetBroadband

SAILOR FleetBroadband brings broadband Internet to almost any vessel. They are by far the most advanced, function rich terminals in the markets they clearly lead.

Enjoy flexible broadband Internet on the water with world-leading SAILOR FleetBroadband terminals. The high-performance SAILOR FleetBroadband family enables email and web browsing, voice calling, video streaming and custom IP applications. Rugged and reliable, SAILOR FleetBroadband terminals allow you to enhance operational communication, fulfill reporting requirements, monitor equipment and diagnose faults, or just stay connected with friends and family on land. These maritime broadband terminals are compact and lightweight, yet quality design and manufacturer ensure reliability in even the harshest conditions.
SAILOR FleetBroadband terminals feature the Inmarsat FleetBroadband Multi-Voice Service, where you can add up to nine simultaneous voice lines to a single terminal without affecting crucial onboard communication, whilst the SAILOR 3771 Alarm Panel provides Voice Distress Calling with full priority access in ship-shore and shore-ship communication.

VSAT (Ku-Band)

Under the SAILOR and Sea Tel brands, Cobham SATCOM offers the most diverse range of high-performance, reliable and feature-rich Ku-Band VSAT antenna systems available today.

SAILOR and Sea Tel Ku-Band Marine VSAT systems feature high-performance 3-axis stabilised antennas for reliable, high bandwidth connectivity and flexible installation. They are designed to out-perform competing antennae and promise easier and quicker installation and configuration on a wider range of vessels.
We offer Ku-Band systems for standardised or customised VSAT and hybrid networks that are 'always-on' and offer fixed monthly data costs. They provide reliable connectivity for operations, passengers and crew, with fast response to the ship's motion to avoid signal loss and an intuitive web user interface accessible from any internet-enabled device.
This tough technology meets some of the most gruelling shock and vibration specifications. Some RF packages can be field-upgraded from Ku-Band to Ka-Band, to work on Inmarsat's Global Xpress network for greater flexibility and reach, while an integrated control unit provides single box electronics that maintain the best and most efficient pointing accuracy in the maritime market.

Proven 2-Way Marine Communications!
Inmarsat C provides two-way data and messaging communication services to and from virtually anywhere in the world. The low-cost terminals and antennas are small enough to be fitted to any size of ship.

Inmarsat C is a two-way store and forward communication system that transmits messages in data packets in ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship and ship-to-ship direction.
Inmarsat C comprises of a small omnidirectional antenna, compact transceiver (transmitter and receiver), messaging unit and, if GMDSS-compliant or with a distress function, a Dedicated Distress Button to activate a Distress Alert.
Inmarsat Mini C terminals are the smallest models available, with some incorporating the antenna and transceiver in the same above deck unit and, depending on the model, supporting the same communication services as Inmarsat C terminals.
To protect crew and vessels, modern Inmarsat C and Mini C terminals include an integrated Global Navigational Satellite Services (GNSS) receiver, providing automatic terminal position updates and reporting when a distress alert is initiated. The vessel’s position data (position, course and speed) is shared with reporting applications.
