This is a video based on trawl tows on the María dels Angels from Barcelona Spain. The vessel uses Notus's trawl monitoring sensors for doorspread, trawl wire lengths, door angle, headline height, deptth and trawl alignment. This video was made by BIM during an evaluation of Echo for Nephrop and prawn detection. A copy of the report can be downloaded from the Echo page https://www.notus.ca/echo. The main conclusion of the evaluation: "A review of underwater camera footage after this haul showed a relatively high number of Nephrops passing through the grid early on in the tow suggesting that the echo system was working well." Echo detects prawns.
